Awesomatix A800R with Carbon Chassis

The A800R now features a new damper system which includes a Linear and Progressive damping option.

These are also quickly adjustable from the underside of the chassis without sliding the dampers in or out. Another advantage is that the dampening and the spring are entirely separate on the A800R; Changing the damper rate doesn’t affect spring rate anymore. 

The car features a super short chassis to reduce chassis rub to increase corner speed. New suspension arms were needed to keep the same wheelbase in combination with the shorter chassis. Additionally, we angled the lower bumper to reduce chassis rub under braking action, while adding a new upper bumper plate which is an active part of front flex. 

With the new damper design comes a new bulkhead design and upper arm holders for improved geometry. We included the all new ST112 Centering Screws (same as for D2 dampers mounts) which ensure a perfect and straight build to key the dampers and bulkheads to the lower chassis. 

This car features a new and ultra-light, reliable rear body holder, in addition to new sway bars which were needed because of the new suspension design. 

We also include new battery holders, but the motor mount and topdeck system remain unchanged. The car includes the latest version AM177-2 motormount. The one-piece C27MMX topdeck also remains compatible. There are no changes to the well-known and reliable drivetrain with spool, IFJ, IRJ, GD2B-R and BEL351 belts. 

As we have come to expect from Awesomatix, the Steering unit remains bulletproof with the AM24-20 and the latest version AM180EVO steering rack (which is the same as the most recent version on the A800MMX car).

• New dampers have an even lower center of gravity. New dampers provide independent adjustment of the damping level and the suspension spring rate.

• Smoother operation at low-speed damping and improved characteristics at high-speed damping are the key improvements of our new dampers.
• The added ball bearing in the damper-suspension linkage provides noticeable reduction of the adverse initial friction during the suspension operation.
• 3. New rear body holder.
• The new design of the rear body holder reduces the weight and the polar moment of inertia.
• 4. New battery holders.
• The new design holds the battery in place more securely and allows for easier adjustment for various battery lengths. 
• 5. New front bumper plates. 
• The new design of the front bumper plates is determined by the noticeably shorter front end of the lower deck.
• Front body posts remain in the same position, but the new lower bumper plate continues with the trend of reducing chassis rub.
• 6. New carbon lower arms.
• New lower arms have a swept design towards the four corners of the car, a shape that is defined by the shorter lower deck and new dampers.
• 7. New bulkheads.
• The new design of the bulkheads  is inspired by the shorter lower deck, new dampers and new lower arms.
• 8. New sway bars.
• The new design of the sway bars  is determined by the narrower lower deck and new lower arms.
